Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS), Fertility and Diet.

Spread the love

Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) is caused when the female hormones are out of balance. It can cause problems with irregular periods and cause problems with fertility. In addition to this, if  not treated then over time it can lead to other more serious health problems, such as diabetes or heart disease. PCOS are small cysts which appear on the ovaries.

PCOS is common, and may  affect  1 out of 15 women (World health organisation citing)

Symptoms may include :

Fertility problems .

Weight gain OR  trouble losing weight.

Extra bodily or facial hair .

Acne.

Irregular periods or heavy periods.

Hormonal balancing is important not only for PCOS but for and pre menstrual issues , and fertility enhancement.  If you are feeling mood swings experiencing headaches or migraines and are generally struggling to loose weight then your hormonal system may be out of balance.

Clinical Reflexology is a very good treatment to not only find if the hormonal system is out of balance, but then work a treatment plan to bring your body back into harmony.

Nutrition is also key for PCOS, as insulin resistance  is also a contributing factor in PCOS (which is why it can then lead to diabetes).

I AM OFFERING £10 OFF INITIAL CONSULTATION FOR NEW CLIENTS SO CONTACT ME IF YOU WOULD LIKE MORE INFORMATION ABOUT HOW I CAN HELP YOU WITH BOTH A PCOS FRIENDLY DIET AND REFLEXOLOGY TO HELP REBALANCE THE BODY. .
