Statement on coronavirus (COVID-19) November 2020

***Update published on 6 November:***
On 31 October, the Prime Minister announced that due to the rapid rise in COVID-19 cases, a range of national restrictions will take effect in England from Thursday, 5 November, until Wednesday, 2 December. As such, The Health Protection (Coronavirus, Restrictions) (England) (No. 4) Regulations 2020 (updated on 3 November), states that “medical or health services, including services relating to mental health.” may remain open (page 32).
If  providing a therapy service to support clients who have a genuine health condition/medical need* (for example, a health condition or injury that is currently causing them pain or mobility issues, or is impacting their quality of life or mental health ), it is our understanding that this would be defined as offering a ‘health service’.

While we cannot diagnose medical conditions, is important to assess  clients’ needs on a case by case basis.  It would not be appropriate, for example, to treat clients for health complaints or injuries that are minor or for general stress relief, relaxation or preventative healthcare purposes. While we fully appreciate the importance of supporting clients for these reasons, the focus should be on treating clients with essential health needs during the national restrictions. For those clients have less urgent health needs, please defer treatments until after 3 December.

The government clearly states that face to face Emotional Support Services may be provided to cover any clients who require support due to Bereavement , Self Harm , Safety, Addiction , Isolation , Mental Health Crisis , Long Term Illness.

Whilst Peace Of Mind Health has stringent health and safety guidelines for your protection that it is your own responsibility to monitor your wellbeing during towards Covid-19 and any other seasonal ailments.

If you have any suggestions on how to improve the service i will be offering you then please feedback to me as best practice and the highest working standards along with your physical and emotional wellbeing are of paramount importance to Peace of Mind Health.

Thank you for your continued support of my business during these challenging and unprecedented times it means a lot.
