The Language of My Soul
A reflection on the sacred game of self discovery.
My soul speaks
a language of symbols
and ancient codes
hidden quietly
in plain sight.
Tiny crumbs scattered
along the path,
and she knows me well….
for I am ever watchful
for the clues.
She delights in the game.
While I,
impatient at times,
furious at others,
am tempered constantly
by curiosity
sharp as a fox on the hunt.
I have a nose
for what is hidden.
Alert.
Listening.
Eager to pounce
upon meaning itself.
Then I hear her softness
calming my restlessness,
reminding me through echoes
that all I will ever find
within this game
is myself.
