The Unseen Actor
A reflection on the invisible forces that move through the theatre of nature.
Lake softly shimmies
in appreciation
to unseen fingertips
caressing her glowing skin.
Beech, birch, hazel and maple
the lime freshness of youth
still supple
within wise old fingertips,
bowing gently
to her majesty.
The sky is alive
with it all.
Sun a teasing child,
A game of hide and seek,
peaking from behind clouds
an endless rolling,
Creating bursts
of bedazzling light.
Swift and swallow,
agile at play,
looping, turning, spinning
a spectacular air show.
Then a drum roll…..
Sheets of rain,
atmospheric,
adding moody drama
as though sealing
the performance itself.
The unseen actor…..
Air.
Invisible,
yet touching everything.
