Beyond the Mere

As I catch my breath in awe, beneath nature’s quiet law,
This undulating world surrounds—
Each sigh of wind, each subtle sound
Sets my spirit soaring, free—
In every hill and trembling tree.

Valleys low and peaks that rise,
Each a mirror of the skies.
In every creature—air, earth, sea—
I meet a deeper part of me.

A gateway opens, soft and wide,
To worlds where hidden truths abide.
Lakes like altars gently gleam,
Anointed vessels of the dream.
I kneel before their sacred face,
Held in quiet, endless grace.

I dive beyond unconscious fear,
To meet the soul within the mere.
The womb of water whispers tales,
Encoded deep in ancient scales.
In liquid strands of memory’s thread,
Old stories stir, no longer dead.

Wisdom woven wave by wave,
Calling out the brave to brave—
To cast the ego’s mask aside,
And let the shallow self subside.
Only then the true is known,
Only then we are full-grown.

Subtle echoes birth the form,
Through silent thought the world is born.
Phenomena from mind arise—
A dance of depth, a vast disguise.
Yet in the mirror’s sacred gleam,
I see beyond the waking dream.

The lake reflects what lies within—
The pride, the doubt, the unseen sin.
But stripped of guise and worldly scheme,
What’s left is love. What’s left is dream.
And so I kneel, with humbled spine—
Beyond the mere, I touch Divine.
