Weight Loss And The Water Retention Link – Peace of Mind Health

Hi All,

Water is quite possibly the single most important factor in contributing to losing weight ……and keeping it off.

Anyone who comes to peace of mind health knows the value of water ( it is our number 1 aftercare advice). Like the earth we are over 75% water. Imagine what our planet would look like with just 10% less water …..& most of us dehydrate our bodies daily.
Energy cannot travel and will stagnate in a dehydrated body. Blood will not flow which can lead to at worse tumours and cognitive function will be impaired which means we loose focus. Toxins become stuck and we cannot then loose weight easily and our immune system suffers.

Water suppresses the appetite naturally and it will also help the body metabolise stored fat. Studies have shown us that a decrease in water will cause fat deposits to increase as the body and the messages from the neuro transmitters  are unable to travel with ease. The knock on effect of this is :-

The Kidneys become compromised and when they don’t work properly some of their load is dumped into the liver (the liver is responsible for metabolising  stored fat into energy.  So  if the liver has to do some of the kidney’s work, it can’t operate at full capacity either!  As a result of this, it metabolises less fat….sooooooo more fat remains stored in the body and weight loss stops….yikes!!!!

Drinking enough water is the best treatment for fluid retention. When the body gets less water, it perceives this as a threat to survival and begins to hold on to every drop. Water is stored in extra-cellular spaces (outside the cells). This shows up as swollen feet, legs and hands and is called oedema.

If you have a constant problem with water retention, excess salt may also be something to consider.  The more salt you eat, the more water your system retains to dilute it. Drinking more water will also get rid of excess salt.

Water helps to maintain proper muscle tone and also plumps the skin and flushes out toxins . The cellulite stored around the buttocks and upper legs is basically the liver encapsulating toxins into fat as it cannot process it.

How much water do you need ?

Well aim for 3 litres of pure mineral water , reverse osmosis or distilled water which has no flouride in. Flouride affects the pineal gland and you can read all about that in another blog soon!

The positive gains from this small change will include : –

Endocrine (hormonal ) function improves.

Fluid retention (oedema)  is reduced.

More fat is burned because the liver is free to metabolise stored fat.

Kidney function improves.

Less hunger .

Your calls can quickly rejuvenate therefore your ageing will slow down.

Cancer and other dis-ease cannot live in an oxygenated body (water and alkaline foods help to oxygenate the body…see my other blogs for more info on this matter!).

Glass of Water Anyone ? !!!
