Reflexology to help with Hormones and P.C.O.S

Hi All,

Polycystic Ovary Syndrome is really rather common and can affect up to 30% of women. Symptoms may include lack of periods or irregular periods, excess hair growth and more importantly is one of the leading causes in infertility or problems in conceiving in females.

There are many studies that report the effectiveness of Clinical Reflexology in improving PCOS of which you can research on the internet.

If PCOS is not addressed then it may lead to additional health problems in later life such as diabetes, heart and blood related disorders  and it may also impact on our emotional health (self esteem, depression , stress and anxiety).
I have a wealth of experience in dealing with female hormonal rebalancing (including insulin
resistance which can impact on weight) and fertility enhancement.

Hormonal balancing is important not only for PCOS but for and pre menstrual issues , and fertility enhancement.  If you are feeling mood swings experiencing headaches or migraines and are generally struggling to loose weight then your hormonal system may be out of balance.

Clinical Reflexology is a very good treatment to not only find if the hormonal system is out of balance, but then work a treatment plan to bring your body back into harmony.

I AM OFFERING £10 OFF INITIAL CONSULTATION FOR NEW CLIENTS SO CONTACT ME IF YOU WOULD LIKE MORE INFORMATION ABOUT HOW I CAN HELP YOU WITH BOTH A PCOS FRIENDLY DIET AND REFLEXOLOGY TO HELP REBALANCE THE BODY.

Balancing your health…naturally.

Preparing your body for pregnancy

Hi all,

Getting your body into the best possible health for pregnancy is important and Nutrition and therapies such as Clinical Reflexology can be extremely beneficial.

Considering factors such as stress and hormonal balance is also important so i have put together some tips which i hope you find helpful.

*** CHECK YOUR CYCLE****

You can look at your  menstrual cycle to help to determine your hormonal balance some indicators would include :

Missing a period – a sign of stress if more than an occasional miss.

Short Cycles – may be due to poor nutrition, stress, anaemia or low BMI. This can lead to lack of ovulation.

Longer Periods – may indicate that  oestrogen is high or progesterone  is low.

Heavy Periods – Caused by too much stimulation of the uterus by oestrogen and may also impact on the liver as it tries to cope with regulation. May be a vitamin A or C deficiency.

Dark brown , clotting or thick blood –  indicates a sluggish flow or poor circulation. Again Vitamin C can help.

Pale Blood – Blood needs to be built up and agin poor circulation.

*** REDUCE STRESSES***

One of the single most important factors here is stress reduction as it plays havoc with the adrenals and when too much cortisol is released ovulation and sperm health are affected.  Relaxation with massage, reflexology , reiki , meditation, tai chi , qi gong will all help.

***NUTRITION***

Key vits and minerals are important…omegas, iron , vit A / C and plenty of water to help with cell rejuvenation is key.  Dong Quai also tonifies the uterus and improves blood health.

**** LIVER HEALTH****
It is important to maintain healthy liver as the liver helps to filter toxins from the body including excess hormones.  Reflexology can help, as can herbs such as milk thistle.

Improve your egg health for fertility.

Improve your egg health for fertility. You need to consider a 90 day period even before an egg is ovulated, as  the eggs are changing and preparing for ovulation. The eggs can be affected by stress, nutrition, healthy blood flow and hormonal balance.

These things may help you greatly :

* Get at least 1.5litres  glasses of pure water every day as dehydration can cause your blood to become thick and decrease circulation in the body, as well as many other issues.

* Hormonal balance is essential for proper egg health. Due to environmental factors, stress, and modern diets more and more women are becoming hormonally imbalanced. Reflexology can help cleanse the system of excess hormones.

* Take in moderate Exercise, walking,  tai chi, swimming and  yoga will  increase the blood flow  and help to oxygenate the blood.

* Eat well –  Leafy greens, berries, organic salmon, nuts , seeds, advocados, turmeric, ginger  and eggs are all great foods. They have abundant antioxidants  help to protect the egg and sperm from free radical damage.

* Have holistic therapies such as Reflexology or massage to improve overall body and lymphatic drainage.

* Other supplements for nutrition  which may help include :

* L-arginine (an amino acid that has been shown in studies to increase ovarian response, endometrial receptivity, and pregnancy rates in IVF patients who supplemented in large doses of L-arginine. (Published in Human Reproduction 1999).

* Royal Jelly is a fertility superfood which may help to increase the egg quality and quantities.

* Reduce Stress –  take some time out for a relaxing treatment, meditate, etc as stress can have has a detrimental impact on fertility. Women who are constantly under stress produce prolactin, cortisol, and other hormones, which can interfere with or even block regular ovulation.
